1. a. Philadelphia they are going to have the biggest traditional fiesta. It is being hosted by te Mexican Cultural Center. They are going to have Mexican inspired entertainment. It is free to get in and all attendees can enjoy a number of non-musical entertainment throughout the day.
b. Houston – they are going to have an art exhibition.
c. Los Angeles is going to hold the oldest and largest Hispanic parade in the country. They will have it be televised by ABC. The Grand Bicentennial Parade and Festival will be held on September 12, 2010.
d. Bay Area San Fransico is having a Ballet Folklórico to tequila and taneales festival to celebrate the Bicentennial. The events are designed to appeal not jus to Hispanic resident of the Bay Area but to anyone interested in Mexican Culture
e.Chicago’s celebration will last for several months and will peak in a massive bas Wednesday at Pritzker Pavilion featuring ballerinas, mariachis and classical music.
2. They held a contest for the design of a monument, and the winner was architect César Pérez Becerril. They are going to mark several routes along highways throughout Mexico that were traveled either during Mexico’s War of Independence or the Mexican Revolution. They are going to have a world fair and it will contain exhibitions and photographs that will teach visitors about Mexico’s past.
3. September 16. They are going to have a parade and the biggest fireworks show the country has seen.
